Come Visit Raise The Woof Pet Hotel — Proudly Serving Athens
Raise The Woof Pet Hotel is a family-owned dog boarding facility that proudly serves Athens and the neighboring East Texas communities. If you’re a pet parent in Athens, we invite you to bring your dog to us for boarding, doggy daycare, baths, and everything in between. Whether Athens is your hometown or you’re simply passing through from a nearby community, our doors stay open all seven days of the week to offer your pup a comfortable, welcoming place to stay.
Why Athens Dog Owners Trust Raise The Woof
We’re glad to welcome dog owners from Athens and the smaller rural towns spread throughout East Texas. Many of our regular Athens families happily make the drive because they’ve come to trust the personal, hands-on care their dogs enjoy with us — the kind of attention that’s hard to find at large, impersonal kennels. For most pet parents, a little extra time on the road to reach a place they trust is well worth it compared to leaving their dog somewhere unfamiliar.
Plenty of our Athens customers first discover us through word of mouth — a neighbor sharing a recommendation after church, a coworker vouching for us once their own dog came home happy, or a quick Google search when someone new to Athens needs a reliable boarding option. That grassroots trust means everything to us, and it’s exactly why we give the same devoted care and attention to every dog, whether they’re a longtime regular or a first-time guest from Athens.
What Makes Us Worth the Drive from Athens
Choosing where to board your dog is about far more than convenience — it comes down to trust. Unlike sprawling metro-area boarding operations where your dog can feel like just another reservation, our family-run facility means every dog gets to know the same familiar faces and the same familiar surroundings on each visit.
That consistency genuinely matters. Dogs, much like people, relax more easily in a place they recognize, cared for by people who remember them. Whether you live right in Athens or you’re driving over from a neighboring East Texas town, you can count on the same personal attention and the same clean, well-maintained facility every single time.
Helpful Facts About Boarding Your Dog While You Travel
- Dogs adjust to boarding most easily when their daily routine — meals, exercise, and rest — stays as consistent as possible throughout their stay.
- Facilities that offer private rooms with separate outdoor access, like ours, tend to reduce stress far more than crowded, open-cage kennels.
- Trustworthy boarding facilities require up-to-date vaccinations — including rabies, bordetella, and DHLPP — to protect the health of every dog in their care.
- Households with more than one dog often thrive when rooming together, since sharing a space with a familiar companion helps ease anxiety.
- Booking your boarding dates early, especially around holidays and busy travel windows, is the surest way to secure the days you need.
- Facilities with flexible drop-off and pickup hours make boarding far easier to fit around your travel plans — whether that means an early departure or a late return.
